Snackable Self-Confidence - OUT NOW!
If you get to the end of this blog you are going to think we are crazy (don’t worry, we’re not). That’s because we think about Self-Help books differently, we think short, sharp, to the point, digestible, bite-sized, snackable. But we also believe there is another half to the self-improvement journey which can either supercharge and accelerate your progress, or simply undermine it. By the time to you get to the end of this blog, you’re going to think ‘did two different people write this blog’, ‘were they on the same page’, ‘do these folks have split-personalities’ or ‘has Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde been reborn’. Don’t worry, it’s by design. At Snackable Self-Help we do two things. We produce self-improvement content, like books and blogs, but we also believe there is another part of you that equally needs to be developed if you are to succeed on any self-improvement journey. You’re probably confused, so let’s jump in and hopefully we can clarify over the next few minutes.

Firstly, what are we launching today? Snackable Self-Confidence, the first in the series of Snackable Self-Help books, is now available and we are absolutely thrilled to offer it in Amazon paperback, Kindle and Audible formats. The Snackable Self-Help book series brings you bite-size books and blogs providing practical ways to go about self-improvement. The difference with Snackable Self-Help is we don’t consider the books in isolation. Yes, you can read/listen to the book and you’ll enjoy it, but it’s the work you also do to develop and prepare your mind and body (your ‘engine’) for your self-improvement journey that is going to make the difference and make it stick. We call these areas the Foundational Accelerators (FAs). You need both the knowledge (book, etc), hopefully, delivered in a digestible format like the book Snackable Self-Confidence, and a well-looked-after ‘engine’ to start, then accelerate your self-improvement journey. At Snackable Self-Help, we believe that building a strong foundation around the trifecta of acquired knowledge, your mind, and the body that carries it all around, is the trio for success. By paying attention to the four ‘foundational accelerators’ of sleep, nutrition & hydration, movement & exercise, and the mental health basics, your Snackable Self-Confidence journey can be wildly more successful, while also providing a solid foundation to sustain that progress and build continual improvement. So let’s dive into the book a little more and explore how to accelerate your progress with the book by leaning into the Foundational Accelerators. Welcome to Snackable Self-Help.
Books and podcasts, while an essential source of knowledge, are only half the story.
Ok, Stop! So let’s get this out of the way up front, despite the rather biased introductory paragraph, I’m not here to sell you a book, or books. If you are going to embark on a self-improvement journey around self-confidence or self-esteem for example, then yes, you need a source of knowledge and Snackable Self-Confidence provides that in a bite-sized, easy-to-digest manner. But, the overwhelming difference between you succeeding and not with your given self-improvement quest is how well you blend the source of knowledge (there were in excess of 100,000 self-help books published last time I counted) with how well you prepare your mind and body to apply and sustain that knowledge.

My advice, find a book that resonates with you and your learning style, that can be Snackable Self-Confidence or not, and while you are consuming the sage advice and guidance, make sure you put an equal amount of focus and attention into the four foundational accelerators, which as I outlined in the opening paragraph and are sleep, nutrition & hydration, movement & exercise, and the mental health basics.
But if you do need a source of knowledge, what makes Snackable Self-Confidence different?
So for a moment, let’s assume you are going to use Snackable Self-Confidence as your source of self-improvement knowledge. Firstly, what makes Snackable Self-Confidence different from other self-help books? We’ll, the book is written with how you consume the information in mind. If you are like us at Snackable Self-Help, then you want knowledge that is bite-size, easy to digest, to the point and not always wrapped up in long stories that make the book four times as long as it needs to be. We also produced Snackable Self-Confidence as an awareness narrative so the reader/listener can gain a broad appreciation of all the pitfalls and opportunities relating to Self-Confidence.

Being aware of the art of the possible has opened my eyes countless times when improving my knowledge in self-improvement areas. In the book we talk about areas like imposter syndrome, the ego and negative self talk in general. All three of these topics left unchecked can make self-improvement slow going. Being aware of them, why they exist (and everyone has them) and how to work with them form an important base to your growth. For example, identifying times when your ego is ‘in control’ and how to regain control can be invaluable. Same with negative self talk and imposter syndrome, which are often a habit cycle that needs to be vocalized and challenged to reduce the intensity.
The real secret to achieving your self-improvement goals
In the end, Snackable Self-Confidence is just a book providing knowledge. As I say, there are many books to help you build knowledge and it could be that others based on your personal preferences, and/or learning style, may be a better fit for you. But what makes the Snackable Self-Confidence book different is the underlying principle of the Snackable Self-Help ethos, which suggests knowledge is only half the challenge. The other half is how you show up, how you prepare your ‘engine’, aka your mind and body, to underpin and support your self-improvement journey. What does showing up in the right way look like? Well, it’s not complicated and it looks like this: Getting the right amount and quality of sleep, hydrating with water, getting the right nutrition, moving more and pro-actively investing time into your Mental Health basics. So it’s time to grab our book, any self-help book, and take your foundation accelerators (FAs) seriously if you want to make sustainable progress in your self-improvement area. You’ll be amazed at the progress you can make with small FA changes and how sustainable that makes your new self-improvement progress. Welcome to Snackable Self-Help.
